Supermarket prices are public data. But getting a clear picture of what things actually cost, across stores, across time, has never been straightforward. PingPrice was built to fix that. Since 2021, we track over 6 million prices every day across Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, for consumers who want to pay less and for brands that need to know where they stand. Independent, and funded by no supermarket chain.
Coverage grows regularly. If your store isn't listed yet, check the app, it may already be there.
In 2014, Christophe Echement was already building tools that turned public data into something useful for people. The question that stuck with him: supermarket prices are out there, scraped and stored every day by the chains themselves, so why can't a shopper just see them?
The idea sat on the shelf until 2021. During the first COVID lockdowns, with time and a clearer sense of what the market needed, Christophe started writing the first scripts.

By May 2021, PingPrice was collecting daily price data from the major Belgian chains. The app followed shortly after.
The premise hasn't changed since: pricing data already exists. PingPrice just makes it readable, comparable, and useful. For the person standing in the aisle. And for the brand managers who need to know what's happening on the shelf before their next sales meeting.
